Pat Galligan, Senior Job Placement Specialist
As a person with a disability who has re-entered the workforce, Mr. Galligan provides personal insights and specialized, firsthand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities for individuals with disabilities. He understands that workplace success begins within the person, through their interests, their abilities and their personal motivation. He offers knowledge of the available incentives for SSDI recipients through the Ticket to Work program since he also benefitted from those incentives following his disability. Prior to his role at AESI, he had worked in the insurance industry for many years in competitive intelligence and marketing. He began losing his vision due to a degenerative retina disease, and by age 50, he could no longer see his computer screen. In the following years, he applied for and received SSDI benefits, learned about the Ticket to Work program, and sought computer training to use screen-reading software in the workplace. Now he has discovered a new occupation and a new employer with AESI, and helps other Ticket to Work candidates redefine their lives by finding success in the workplace. His personal wisdom and success provide tremendous value to individuals who choose AESI as their Employment Network.
